Dashboard lockdown!

Posted by on Apr 26, 2013 in Security | No Comments

I’ve completed a round of security updates to fortify the login, dashboard and admin areas. This means that all data that goes between you and your website is now encrypted for extra protection from prying eyes and would-be data-thieves. This includes your password, blog entries, credit card numbers and any customer or order information you view in your dashboard.

Look for the little lock symbol in your browsers address bar for that warm fuzzy feeling. 🙂

SSL certificates are also available for your domain! You’ll need one of these if you want to accept credit card payments directly on your site, or to secure your public domain’s member-areas or logins. Add secure SSL encryption to your domain starting from just $10/month for basic validation. Email [email protected] to request yours today. EDIT: Full sitewide SSL Certificate validation now comes standard with all managed WordPress business hosting plans above Basic. You can up or downgrade your plan anytime by visiting the Your Account link in the header.

Safe and happy surfing!
